First Flight was formed to bring awareness to the Stephen F. Austin State University Aviation Program and the “Flying Jacks”. The organization is also on a mission to raise awareness around aerospace related fields to our K-12 youth. The First Flight Team believes our young people are the most valuable, yet most neglected resource we have, and we must do more to expose our youth to the world of opportunities that exist. Our goal centers around the aerospace industry.

All proceeds go to benefit the Flying Jacks and youth in aviation outreach programs. The Flying Jacks must pay for FAA check rides that will cost approximately $5,000 in additional training costs. First Flight's goal is to help students cover these "out of pocket" expenses. First Flight is also investing in resources and tools to expose youth to aviation related fields. Aviation connects the world, and we want to help connect youth to this world of opportunities.
